Cheaper than regular laundry products. Around 10c per load (1 kg bag)
Packaged in a Cotton Bag or Reusable Glass Pantry Jar (jar only available for Click and Collect at Erskineville, Sydney).
Use: Each bag/jar comes with a small wash bag and product instructions. Fill the wash bag with about 4-5 berries. Pop into your front or top loader with the wash (berries leave no residue so they can stay in during the rinse cycle). This amount lasts about 5 loads of cold washes or 3-4 loads of warm washes. Once the berries become brittle like dried leaves there's no soap left.
To make liquid detergent, put a few berries in a jar of water and shake. Soapberries are odourless, so add a few drops of essential oils if you wish.
If you haven't used Soapberries before, our 250g bag is a perfect trial size and washes about 90+ loads.
Care: Peg wet bag (with berries inside) on line to dry between use.
Packaging: The cotton bag is reusable and biodegradable. The jar is reusable for the pantry or recyclable.
End of life: Biodegradable and home compostable. Toss on garden.
